  • At the heart of IKEA are people. We are the ones who create IKEA and our unique culture. That’s why we call our HR organization People & Culture. Now we are looking for our new People & Culture Manager for IKEA Stockholm Barkarby – an inspiring and relevant store where our existing and new customers as well as co-workers are in focus. We are looking for someone who, with strong people focus, drive, and commitment, creates the right conditions for our co-workers to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations – every day. At IKEA Barkarby, nearly 600 employees work together. Here, we test new ideas, learn from mistakes, celebrate successes, and share knowledge across IKEA. Are you confident in your leadership and want to lead and develop our co-workers and business forward? Then this could be the right opportunity for you!

    Who are you?

You are engaged, positive, and passionate about people and business. You have a strong personal leadership style aligned with IKEA’s values and are highly successful at bringing out the best in both others and yourself. You gain energy and motivation from unlocking others’ potential and helping them grow. Thanks to your inspiring communication skills, you build strong and trusting relationships. You support and develop the People strategy based on the store’s local needs. At the same time, you are brave and willing to explore new paths and dare to do things differently when needed. You have a good understanding of the business and how to drive the People agenda through others.

For us, collaboration with our union partners is important, as we value our strong relationship. It is essential that you have knowledge in Swedish labor law and fell confidence in handling matters in this area. You have previous experience in both leadership and HR, preferably from retail and larger organizations. This means you have a realistic view of the operational nature of the role – and find it appealing! In this role, you will meet customers and co-workers as part of the HR assignment. This offers an opportunity to create relevant initiatives and priorities, so that HR can add value to the business. Besides your experience, your personality and leadership are crucial. You need to be able to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

    Your responsibilities

As People & Culture Manager, you will be an important part of the store management team. Your responsibilities include:
    • Ensuring that the business and People strategy are driven together, both in line with global guidelines and local needs
    • Leading the P&C Business Partner and Coordinator and together executing P&C processes
    • Leading the People Planning Specialists and the scheduling process for all co-workers, thereby contributing to a world-class customer experience
    • Secure the internal communication in the store
    • Ensuring that the local People & Culture strategies are effectively implemented in practice, actively contributing to the company’s growth through people
    • Maintaining good relationships with local unions and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and laws
    • Ensuring that co-workers and managers have the right competencies to achieve organizational goals
    • Ensuring a good working environment where IKEA’s values and culture are a living reality
    • Contributing to making IKEA a fantastic place to work

You will work in a fast-changing, customer-focused environment with a focus and passion for co-workers, customers, and sales.
