    Additional Information:
    • This role is Permanent Full-time 76hrs/fortnight
    • The internal job title is Commercial Co-worker
    • Rotating roster, with shift ranging between 8:30am to 5:30pm, weekdays, weekends and be available to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
    • This role is based in IKEA Planning Studio, inside the HomeCo. Belrose Shopping Centre, NSW 2085.

    • If your application is progressed, you will be invited to attend an in-person interview with the hiring team.

    About this work area

    As Showroom Consultant your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Approach arriving and browsing customers. Identify their overall need to support them in the best way by asking the right questions.
    • Maintain presentation of the showroom to the highest level and work in line with our visual merchandising guidelines.
    • Ensure all customer material and digital solutions are ready to use - to give customers a positive shopping experience.
    • Establish and build strong customer relationships whilst delivering exceptional customer excellence.
    • Following up orders, enquiries and emails to convert the planning offer into a purchase.
    • Working cohesively with the team to achieve set sales targets and maximise campaign sales
    • Maximise sales through effective selling techniques, including room solutions and add-on sales.
    • Handle sales administration with care and accuracy, supporting customers through the post-sales journey.



    As Showroom Consultant you are or have:
    • Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, within the furniture, colour consulting or high-value items retail industry.
    • Passionate about home furnishings and appreciator of quality focusing on maintaining a high level of product knowledge and a love for sharing the IKEA product range with customers.
    • A strong customer-focused mindset, always striving to deliver a memorable and positive shopping experience.
    • An authentic approach to generating sales, paired with a professional, self-motivated attitude towards achieving sales targets and KPIs.
    • Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong problem-solving abilities to navigate customer needs.
    • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with your team.
    • Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA IT systems and tools.
