IKEA Lakeside are looking to welcome a Visual Merchandising Assistant to join our fast paced and innovational team!

As a Merchandising Assistant, you’ll be the hands bringing the plans to life producing stunning, tangible displays. Imagine the thrill of painting vibrant backdrops, assembling stylish furniture, and meticulously arranging products to captivate customers. WHAT WE OFFER

• Starting date : 9th November 2024
• Hourly Rate of £12.60
• 24 hours working 4 days per week, includes 3 out of 4 weekends

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Basic DIY skills, painting, decorating, furniture building
• Safe use of ladders
• Safe use of basic hand tools for shop fitting
• Actively seeking new and improved ways of working simply and cost-efficiently
• Teamwork and good communication


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Working in a fast paced busy environment completing tasks that involve manual handling and working at heights.
• Implementing changes including painting and decorating.
• Supporting the Implementation of commercial changes in the retail unit/s for practical works including assembly/disassembly of shop fixtures where required
• Keep visitors in mind when working on the shop floor, minimise disruption and remain aware at all times of the importance of safety and the visual impact for visitors.
• Secure high quality, simplicity and cost-consciousness in the execution of work by using best practices and following established best practice routines
