Additional Information: • This role is Permanent Part-time, 60hrs/fortnight • Applications close Wednesday 17 June, 2026 • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
As Product Quality & Recovery Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions. • Present IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the store. • Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, such as repackaging them back into a saleable condition. • Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality. • Support the quality work in the store to constantly improve customers' quality perception of IKEA products. • Always consider the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products. • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that cultivates a strong understanding of product recovery, quality and compliance processes. • Maintaining a safe and secure environment within the IKEA store, always ensuring the well-being of both customers and co-workers.
As Product Quality & Recovery Co-worker you are, or you have • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently. • A passion for building furniture, our products, and our sustainability initiatives. • Experience with regular use of computers and IT systems. • Strong customer focus, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do. • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and ability and be able to think outside of the box. • A safety mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive heavy lifting. • Motivated, results-driven mindset that does not shy away from challenges. • Comfortable with the physicality associated with this role, similar to a warehouse co-worker.
