Additional information: • These roles are Permanent Part-time, 24hrs/fortnight • The internal job title for this role is IKEA Food Co-worker • Applications close Thursday 6 August 2026 • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts, inline with the store operating hours: o Saturday to Wednesday – 6:00am to 7:00pm o Thursday & Friday – 6:00am to 10:00pm • You have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
As an IKEA Food Co-worker, you will play an important role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for our customers by ensuring our food areas are clean, safe, efficient, and inviting.
Your responsibilities will include:
Commercial and customer experience • Preparing and serving food in line with IKEA Food standards and food safety requirements • Providing friendly, efficient customer service and active selling • Handling cash transactions and operating point-of-sale systems • Maintaining presentation standards to ensure food areas are attractive and welcoming • Supporting stocktake activities and controlling waste through correct production levels
Operational excellence • Cooking, serving, and food preparation using approved methods and equipment, including ovens and fryers • Following strict food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures, including temperature and date checks • Clearing tables, wiping down benchtops, and maintaining cleanliness in customer dining areas • Processing dishes and maintaining the washing-up area and equipment • Ensuring all food areas remain clean, organised, and compliant with IKEA standards at all times
You are someone who: • Is passionate about food, with a strong focus on quality and presentation • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment • Has previous hospitality or cookery experience (highly regarded but not essential) • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to a shared goal • Can follow structured routines and comply with strict food safety and operational guidelines
