About this work area
As Sales Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions. • Process product knowledge and confidently recommend relevant add-on items that complement customers’ primary purchases, supporting increased attachment rates and overall basket value. • Maintain add-on product areas to ensure they are fully stocked, accurately priced, clean, and presented in an accessible, customer-friendly manner. • Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth. • Maintaining a clean and organised sales area, ensuring all products are properly priced and fully stocked. • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
As Sales Co-worker you have: • Previous retail experience preferred • Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting, replenishment, standing for extended periods) • Passionate about learning and sharing the IKEA product range with customers. • Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills. • Able to prioritise multiple tasks and are comfortable with on-the-job physical activity. • Adopt a customer-focused mindset and strive to deliver a memorable shopping experience. • A friendly attitude and are comfortable with connecting and interacting with people. • Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA IT systems and tools. • A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting.
