Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Food Safety Compliance Officer to join our team in Pasay City, Philippines. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring our organization's compliance with food safety regulations and standards, safeguarding public health, and maintaining the highest quality standards in our food production processes.
Develop, implement, and maintain food safety management systems and procedures
Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Analyze and interpret food safety data, identifying trends and areas for improvement
Prepare comprehensive reports on food safety compliance and present findings to management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address food safety issues and implement corrective actions
Stay up-to-date with local and international food safety regulations, including Philippine-specific standards
Provide training and guidance to staff on food safety practices and procedures
Liaise with regulatory agencies and external auditors during inspections and audits
Manage and maintain documentation related to food safety compliance and certifications
Participate in product development processes to ensure new products meet food safety standards
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
HACCP Certification and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) Certification
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance roles
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, including FDA, USDA, and FSMA requirements
Familiarity with Philippine food safety regulations and standards
Proficiency in food safety management systems and related software tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in conducting food safety audits and inspections
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
Ability to work efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
