Reporting to the INTERIOR DESIGN MANAGER, this SPECIALIST role is tasked to create a functional and beautiful solutions that reflect the IKEA approach to home furnishing, strengthen the IKEA Brand and encourage people to buy. He/she should be able to provide and sell people solutions that improve their life at home.
Your assignment
You use home furnishing competence to create home furnishing solutions, creating detailed and accurate floor plans and 3D renderings using design software
You have eye in selecting appropriate materials, furnishings, decorative items, and arranging furniture to enhance functionality and aesthetics and to complement the overall design
You work together with the Comm&In team and other functions in identifying commercial opportunities by staying up to date with knowledge about home furnishing, communication and retail design trends;
You present and communicate relevant, functional and beautiful solutions and design concepts and ideas effectively in a variety of styles and functions to the customers
You work within the customer's budget, and project manage to ensure projects are completed on time and within the budget
You manage and coordinate stakeholders to ensure seamless executions and experiences
You deliver creative, functional and aesthetically pleasing designs while managing all aspects of the project effectively
Qualification
Your profile
Must possess a valid license in Interior Design, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced retail environment, preferably within the home furnishing industry.
Knowledgeable of trends that influence home furnishing and retailing in the Philippines
You have a vast understanding and knowledge of the design software for creating plans and renderings (AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-Up), building codes, safety regulations and accessibility standards
Good communication and presentation techniques, with the ability to influence and collaborate with others in various situations
Flexible and hands-on, with keen eye for details, adapt to changing needs, trends and demands, incorporating new design technologies and sustainable practices
Support customers in making decisions and close the deal and sell the customer the created home furnishing solution
