We deliver excellent transport and logistic solutions today, tomorrow and over time by optimising replenishment solutions, managing the goods flow, sourcing and developing transport and logistics capacities and leading and securing supply quality.

    In Category Distribution, we are responsible for securing handling & storing capacities for IKEA products. We do this by establishing and managing relationships with distribution centers around the world. Our ~40 coworkers work closely with Service Providers, Retailers, Wholesaler, and other stakeholders across the IKEA value chain.

    About the job

    In Supply Chain Operations we lead, plan, and execute the supply of IKEA products between suppliers and retailers. We do this by 1) leading tactical and operational planning; 2) securing optimal replenishment; 3) sourcing and developing transport and logistics capacities; and 4) managing and execution of goods flow.

    As a Facility Specialist, you oversee the physical building environment and contractor relationships, ensuring the DC infrastructure provides a safe, functional workspace while managing external service providers to deliver high-quality facility support at optimal cost.

    Your key tasks and responsibilities are:

    • Secure implementation of facility services contracts, according to agreed Service Level, monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance according to Indirect Procurement Policy.
    • Responsible for IWAY implementation and compliance of all local contractors.
    • Oversee building maintenance including roofing, walls, external yard and structural elements
    • Coordinate cleaning services and grounds maintenance
    • Oversee facility security systems, access control, and secure compliance of fire prevention equipment
    • Manage office renovations, and facility improvement projects
    • Ensure regulatory compliance with building codes and safety requirements, maintaining local authority relations.
    • Administer facility-related contracts and monitor contractor performance
    • Maintain accurate records of facility assets, drawings, and compliance documentation
    • Contribute to develop and secure execution of yearly Facility Plan (WISAN – Warehouse In Shape As New).
    • IKEA Ambassador: Acts as IKEA ambassador towards external parties, and performs business responsibilities based on value- and fact-based business approach

    Qualification
    • > 5 years experience managing commercial building systems and infrastructure in warehouse or industrial environments.
    • Proven track record managing multiple facility service contractors and administering service agreements.
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate facility improvement projects on time and within budget.
    • Practical knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements for distribution facilities.
    • Experience liaising with local authorities related to building/facility/security & prevention systems.
    • Experience developing and managing facility maintenance budgets with successful cost control results.
    • Posses at  least university degree relevant field or successful track record from similar position or equivalent
    • Fluency in English & Bahasa Malaysia
