As a Construction Project Manager, you will lead strategic construction projects across the country, ensuring safe, sustainable, innovative and cost-efficient real estate solutions that support the growth of our business.

    You hold a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
    You have at least 6 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
    You have experience working for a client organization, consultancy, contractor, or within construction project delivery environments.
    You have strong knowledge of project management principles, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and completion.
    You are experienced in overseeing all stages of construction projects, from design and permitting through construction and handover.
    You have a solid understanding of real estate regulations, construction standards, environmental requirements and procurement processes.
    You are a skilled negotiator with the ability to balance quality, deadlines, costs and sustainability objectives.
    You are comfortable making decisions, managing risks and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
    You are motivated by creating innovative and sustainable solutions that contribute to business growth.

    What you'll be doing day to day

    The purpose of this role is to manage national construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, sustainable, innovative and cost-efficient real estate solutions that meet business needs.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Leading the full lifecycle of construction projects, including design, planning, permitting, procurement, construction and handover.
    Ensuring the successful delivery of projects in terms of quality, cost, timeline, safety and sustainability.
    Managing project budgets, cost control processes and risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
    Coordinating and collaborating with internal stakeholders as well as external authorities, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
    Implementing IKEA project delivery strategies, methods and procedures across construction projects.
    Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, legal requirements and IWAY requirements.
    Supporting procurement activities, tender processes and contractor selection in partnership with Procurement teams.
    Identifying opportunities to drive innovation, sustainability and long-term value across the real estate portfolio.
    Contributing to a culture driven by IKEA values, diversity, entrepreneurship and continuous improvement.
