Additional information: • This role is Permanent Part-time, 60hrs/fortnight • Applications close Wednesday 8 April 2026 • This role requires availability to work store operating hours as listed below, with flexibility to start earlier hours: o Sunday to Wednesday 8:30am to 8pm o Thursday to Saturday 8:30am to 10pm • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
In this role, you will: • Supervise the day-to-day operation of the customer team to ensure a positive and consistent customer experience • Coordinate and support co-workers to deliver accurate, positive, and efficient service across all channels • Handle customer complaints, claims, and payments with professionalism and care • Work closely with leaders to share feedback on team performance and daily operational priorities • Troubleshoot issues and take appropriate action, including incident response and authorisation processes • Collaborate with other functions to optimise the end-to-end customer shopping journey • Record customer insights accurately in relevant systems to support continuous improvement • Always maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers • Use your knowledge of the IKEA product range and services to offer solutions that meet individual customer needs
The experience and skills required for this role are: • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-focused or customer service environment • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers and co-workers • Emotional resilience and confidence in handling challenging situations or conflict • Good numeracy and computer literacy • Ability to prioritise, organise, and make considered decisions in a fast-paced environment
You have the knowledge & mindset of: • Understanding of customer behavior in an omnichannel retail environment • Knowledge of products and services, with a willingness to learn and grow • A strong customer-first mindset with attention to accuracy and detail • Alignment with IKEA values and a passion for diversity, inclusion, and teamwork
