    Additional information:
    • This role is Permanent, Full-time 76hrs/fortnight based on site at IKEA Rhodes, NSW 2138
    • The internal job title for this role is Fulfilment Operations Manager
    • This role requires availability to work a range of hours from 7:00am – 3:00pm weekdays and alternating weekends per fortnight.
    • As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check, including a National Police Check for final candidates.

    About this work area

    The Fulfilment Operations Inbound department secures excellence in the end-to-end goods inbound operation including in-house receiving and replenishment, and a strong focus on stock availability, always with safety as the highest priority.
    As Fulfilment Operations Manager your responsibilities will include:
    • Managing fulfilment operations from the front and through your team leaders, securing safe, efficient, and well-planned workflow with the ability to be agile to secure the best outcomes for our customers.
    • Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing Fulfilment Operations team, cultivating strong communication, flexibility, and an inclusive team culture.
    • Implementing improvements, new processes, technologies, and ways of working to continuously improve efficiency, safety, accuracy, and goods availability.
    • The role requires a high level of internal collaboration within the Fulfilment team and with other functions as partners - building strong stakeholder and matrix relationships is key.
    • Leading a strong, active, and highly developed culture of safety within the Fulfilment team. Compliance with IKEA Standard Operating Procedures, internal regulations, the IKEA code of conduct, and local legislation is paramount, as is a continuous learning and improvement mindset.
    • Leading by example, actively nurturing co-worker well-being, managing performance, competence development, and succession pathways to Fulfilment leadership readiness.
    • A commitment to simplicity, sustainability, and cost-consciousness, effectively managing resources and operational expenses to maximise efficiency, manage fulfilment costs, and minimise environmental impact.



    As Fulfilment Operations Manager, you have:
    • Proven experience (3+ years) in warehouse management, preferably in distribution, retail, logistics or similar.
    • Previous experience (3+ years minimum) leading large and diverse teams, managing and developing leaders.
    • Proven experience delivering business results, developing people, and building effective stakeholder relationships in a high-volume, structured environment.
    • Thorough understanding of standard operating procedures and safe working requirements for fulfilment, with demonstrated experience leading a strong safety culture.
    • Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand budget, cost and key performance measurements and translate them into effective action plans.
    • Competence in resource planning aligned with changing sales forecasts, and fulfilment flow allocation to ensure a productive workflow.
    • Strong communication and leadership, with a demonstrated capacity to lead large teams, set clear priorities, delegate tasks effectively, provide constructive feedback when managing performance.
    • An authentic and entrepreneurial approach to leadership with a high level of integrity. You connect with IKEA’s values, lead by example, and have demonstrated ability to lead an inclusive and high performing team.
