    Additional information:
    • This role is Permanent, Full Time, 76 hours per fortnight
    • You must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts between the hours of 7:30 and 10pm . You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).

    About this work area

    As an IKEA Food Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
    • Leading, developing and coaching your team of co-workers to ensure they are given the necessary support, training and guidance to provide an exceptional customer experience.
    • Presenting the food range in an inspiring way and leading your team to have strong food range knowledge and be confident active sellers.
    • Maintaining a high level of quality, operational, cleaning, and food safety standards.
    • Ensuring training compliance and daily operational routines are always in place and accurately recorded.
    • Ensuring the food areas are efficiently maintained, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
    • Supporting and managing change within the Food team and with stakeholders in the wider store.



    As a Food Team Leader you:
    • Have a minimum of one year of experience in a leadership role (with direct reports) within hospitality, restaurants, fast food, or retail.
    • Lead by example and resonate with the IKEA values.
    • Are familiar with kitchen operations, knowledgeable about food safety and HACCP, and comfortable leading the daily operations in a fast-faced, high-volume operation.
    • Are a confident communicator with customers, co-workers, and stakeholders at at all levels.
    • Support and develop your team to have a service-minded and customer-centric approach with every interaction.
