Additional Information: • This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight. • This role is located on-site at IKEA Rhodes • You must have the availability to work 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and public holiday shifts as required by business needs. • As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete pre-employment checks. • Successful candidates will need to obtain a National Police Check.

About this work area
As part of our Communication & Interior Design team, you’ll play a key role in translating the IKEA vision into inspiring in-store experiences that drive customer engagement and sales. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Design, style and build room sets, displays and vignettes that are functional, affordable and visually compelling • Use customer insights (including local trends and home visits) to create relevant, real-life solutions. • Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless and commercially strong store experiences. • Contribute to store projects, seasonal changes and layout improvements. • Stay up to date with interior design trends and retail best practices. • Ensure high standards of visual presentation, safety and efficiency on the shop floor.
As an Interior Design Co-worker, you are or have: • A true passion for home furnishing and people’s lives at home, with a strong ability to translate ideas into inspiring, functional and commercial living solutions. • A creative thinker with strong visual competence and attention to detail, able to generate, present and bring design concepts to life. • A practical, hands-on mindset, with confidence working physically on the shop floor - including assembling furniture, building installations and using ladders and small power tools safely and effectively. • The ability to balance creativity with commercial thinking, ensuring solutions are not only visually appealing but also aligned to business priorities and customer needs. • A strong communicator who can clearly share ideas, collaborate with cross-functional teams and confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels. • Confidence operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure retail environment, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and adapt quickly to change. • A growth mindset, open to feedback and continuous learning, with motivation to develop into future leadership opportunities. • Experience using digital and design programs such as Microsoft Apps, Revit, and SketchUp, with the ability to visualise and communicate concepts digitally. • A qualification in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field, with prior experience in home furnishing, retail or a similar environment highly regarded.
