About this work area
Customer Fulfilment is at the heart of making IKEA's omnichannel retail experience a reality. As an Operations Leader - Fulfilment for IKEA Rhodes, you will lead the day-to-day running of fulfilment operations at our Rhodes unit, but more importantly, you will lead, grow, and inspire the leaders within your team. This is a role for someone who leads through people, thrives on learning, and knows how to create a culture where others can do their best work. You are a collaborative, values-driven leader who: ● Leads, coaches, and develops a team of leaders, building capability, confidence, and a high-performance culture grounded in trust, inclusion, and well-being. ● Drives a continuous improvement mindset across operations, identifying opportunities to improve ways of working, efficiency, and the co-worker and customer experience. ● Builds strong relationships and works collaboratively across functions — including with the Fulfilment Integration team (stock supply), unit management, support functions, and external partners, to deliver seamless outcomes. ● Uses KPIs, goals, and data to monitor performance, make informed decisions, and steer the team toward shared objectives. ● Ensures all operations are carried out in compliance with IKEA's Code of Conduct, relevant Standard Operating Procedures, and local legislation relating to health, safety, security, and the environment. ● Champions IKEA's sustainability agenda within the operations environment, embedding responsible practices into everyday ways of working.
You are a strong, people-centred leader with a proven ability to lead other leaders and bring out the best in those around you. You are energised by complexity, motivated by growth, and bring a genuine passion for learning, including a willingness to develop deep knowledge of fulfilment operations over time. You are comfortable working with KPIs and goals to drive performance, and you know how to engage stakeholders across different functions to get things done. You thrive in environments that are fast-moving and ever-changing, and you bring the cultural awareness and interpersonal skills to lead with empathy, clarity, and purpose. To be considered for this role you will have: • Demonstrated experience leading leaders, with a proven track record of developing people, building team capability, and creating a high-performance culture that delivers results. • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, complex operational environment, this could include retail, hospitality, FMCG, or a similar setting; a background in fulfilment or logistics is not required. • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, implement change, and bring others along on the journey. • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working collaboratively across functions and building relationships at all levels of an organisation. • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, delegate effectively, provide open and honest feedback, and empower others to take ownership of their work.
