Additional Information: • These roles are Permanent Part Time, contracts ranging from 40hrs or 60hrs/fortnight [across different departments in Showroom and Markethall] • Availability requirements for these roles range between the hours of 8:00am-10:00pm, weekdays and weekends. • You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

We have exciting opportunities for retail enthusiast to join the IKEA Rhodes store as Sales Co-workers. In this role your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions. • Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth. • Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; and actively learning about their features and benefits. • Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced. • Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality. • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
As a Sales Co-worker you are or have: • Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, ideally within home furnishing or high-value items retail industry. • Passionate about home furnishings and appreciator of quality focusing on maintaining a high level of product knowledge and sharing the IKEA product range with customers. • Strong communication skills and ability to connect with others, you can understand the customer's needs and the ability to build strong relationships. • An authentic approach in generating sales, whilst maintaining a professional, self-motivated attitude towards meeting sales targets and KPIs. • Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills. • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment. • Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range and tools. • A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting.
