Additional information: • These roles are: o Permanent Part-time, 30-40hrs/fortnight o Temporary Part-time, 30/40hrs/fortnight for 4 months • Applications close Thursday 9 October 2025 • To be considered for this role, you must be available to work on Wednesdays and Thursdays • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday). • If your application is progressed, you will be required to attend a Group Assessment Centre on Tuesday 14 October 2025
About this work area
As Customer Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Greeting visitors to IKEA by providing friendly, effective, and efficient information for customers. • Securing that all products passing through the entrance are paid for. • Supporting other areas of Customer Relations including resolving customer service issues, maintaining shopping tools (shopping baskets, trolleys, and yellow bags) and catalogues. • Supporting customers booking their home delivery and collecting their click and collect. • Processing returns and resolving customer issues, recognising when to escalate to someone with higher authorization. • Handling cash and card payments in a reliable, efficient, accurate and friendly way. • Recording information accurately in the system so we can continually make improvements to the customer shopping experience. • Ensuring customers have a positive final touchpoint during the IKEA shopping experience.
As a Customer Co-worker you are: • Passionate about securing a positive and seamless customer experience through utilising your strong customer service skills by interacting with and helping customers consistently. • Able to remain calm when faced with challenging situations and are pro-active to find solutions. • Able to comfortably interact with customers in a polite and friendly manner whilst having a ‘Togetherness’ mindset. • Able to work closely with your team and other departments or work independently. • Able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and basic computer and systems literacy.
