    Additional information:
    • This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight

    • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).
    • As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
    • If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a National Police Check

    About this work area

    As Deputy Market Sales & Customer Experience Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Oversee and lead the leaders who manage the Customer, Commercial Activities, and Self-Serve Warehouse teams at IKEA Richmond, in addition to the Planning Studio at Highpoint.
    • Implement the business plan, making sure everything runs smoothly and support our growth in an omnichannel environment.
    • Built and support a strong, customer-focused team, helping them grow and succeed while reaching sales and growth goals.
    • Working closely with the commercial team to turn big-picture plans into day-to-day actions—managing budgets, staffing, and offering hands-on support to the team.
    • Using local market and customer insights to spot opportunities and keep improving both sales and the overall shopping experience across all channels.
    • Keeping an eye on team and individual performance, stepping in with support or changes when needed to keep things on track.
    • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders, confidently speaking to large teams.

    • Skilled at balancing the big picture with the day-to-day. From leading leaders to improving routines and processes, you keep things running efficiently.
    • Care deeply about the customer experience. You make sure every part of the journey – in-store and online – is smooth, enjoyable, and aligned with IKEA’s values.
    • Create a positive, inclusive environment where co-workers feel supported, respected, and motivated. You lead with empathy and clarity, helping your team grow and succeed.

    To be considered for this role, experience in the following is essential:
    • Minimum 2-4 years of leadership experience in a big box or multi-site retail operation.
    • Proven effective business acumen, people management skills, including leading and coaching line managers.
    • Proven experience implementing plans into reality and making things happen.
    • Successful skills in problem solving, conflict management and people development.
    • Skilled in making commercial decisions based on market data.
