    What you'll be doing day to day

    As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end payroll processes in line with IKEA policies, local labor laws, and specific country requirements. Your work will directly impact the experience of our co-workers by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of payroll services.

    Your main tasks will include:
    • Ensuring timely and accurate execution of payroll processes, including data checks, timekeeping inputs, and off-cycle payments according to the payroll calendar and legal requirements;
    • Acting as the go-to person for payroll-related questions from co-workers and P&C representatives, providing support and resolving issues related to salaries and personal data;
    • Preparing and verifying payroll data for tax reporting, audits, and reconciliation;
    • Interacting with the Finance function on the tax payments and reconciliation with Tax, Social Security Offices and other authorities;
    • Preparing and processing key HR documents related to employment changes such as hiring, transfers, exits, salary updates, or disciplinary actions in line with internal procedures;
    • Managing co-worker personal data and requests in our HR systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records;
    • Supporting total rewards operations at the country level, including regular routines and data updates;
    • Keeping up to date with changes in local legislation and supporting the testing and implementation of related system or process updates;
    • Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and recommending changes that support continuous improvement.
