  • What you need to know

    • This role is Permanent, Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight based in IKEA Logan and North Lakes unit.
    • Applications close Friday June 6, 2025.
    • You have the availability to work a rotating roster that includes one late night per week and one in three weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).
    • As part of the recruitment process this role requires pre-employment checks including a National Police Check for the final candidate.

    As the Deputy Communication & Interior Design Manager you are passionate and knowledgeable about Life at Home, current home furnishing trends, our brand and visual identity. You are inspired, motivated and driven to position IKEA as a leading home furnishing retailer in the Queensland market. You have skills & strong knowledge in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design & Graphics. You are solution-focused and believe in challenging and finding ways to inspire our visitors and co-workers through meeting and exceeding their needs and dreams. You are an inspirational leader with strong stakeholder management and you influence and drive the growth agenda alongside your commercial partners. You are driven to secure the store layout, range presentation and store communication contributing to positioning the IKEA Brand as the leader in life at home.

    To be considered for this role experience in the following is essential:
    • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Communication & Interior Design Manager or equivalent.
    • Ability to lead and secure compliance in the IKEA Concept review as well as other relevant market reviews.
    • Ability to lead the Communication & Interior Design team to be commercially and customer focused, with a growth mindset.
    • Ability to coach others, secure successors and develop talent and high performing individuals and collaborative teams.

    As Deputy Communication & Interior Design Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Secure and champion inspiring range presentation solutions, an optimal store layout and effective and efficient store communication that builds the IKEA Brand and distances IKEA from the competition.
    • Create and secure the visual identity of the stores and play an active role as the creative director to inspire our customers and co-workers through home furnishing.
    • Lead, coach and develop a high performing team that actively contributes to the unit goals, whilst securing succession.
    • Play a pivotal role as part of the Management team and act as a commercial business partner to proactively contribute to the local and national business plan and growth plan.
    • Lead and secure the implementation of local and global solutions within the store in collaboration with your team.
    • Finding new ways and being solutions focused to inspire our visitors and co-workers with interior design solutions that meet and exceeds their dreams.
    • Support the store operationally and be responsible for Duty Manager shifts in store where required.
