    Additional information:
    • This role is Permanent Part-time, 60hrs/fortnight
    • The internal job title for this role is Food Co-worker

    • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
    • This role requires availability to work before store operating hours as listed below:
    o 6:00am to 7:00pm, Monday to Sunday

    About this work area

    As a Goods Receiving (IKEA Food) co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Working to ensure that large volumes of food products are unloaded, replenished ready for our IKEA food co-workers within the kitchen, restaurant and bistro.
    • Takes responsibility to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues and our customers
    • Liaising with external delivery parties on a regular basis
    • Assisting other areas of the Food department in food preparation and customer service.
    • Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
    • Using safe manual handling practices and maintaining accountability when moving, storing and rotating stock.
    • Applying strong attention to detail, time management and basic numeracy to support accurate documentation and efficient workflow.



    As a Goods Receiving (IKEA Food) co-worker you have:
    • A solid understanding of food safety and compliance, with strong attention to detail and a consistent ability to follow procedures every time.
    • Highly organised and reliable, able to manage multiple deliveries, schedules, paperwork, and fast turnarounds for perishable and frozen products.
    • Work well in a team environment, communicate clearly, and can prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
    • Physically fit with safe manual handling skills, have good time management and problem solving abilities, and are comfortable using basic systems and numeracy skills.
    • Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.
    • Enthusiastic about working within a team of like-minded people.
    • Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
