Additional Information: • These roles are Permanent Part-time, 24-60hrs/fortnight • The internal job title for this role is Food Operations Co-worker • The Hiring Manager for this role is Mel Cannon - IKEA Food Team Leader • Applications close Thursday 23rd October • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts – 6:00am to 9:45pm Monday to Sunday. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday). • If your application is progressed, you will be invited to an in-person interview on one of the following dates: 2nd October 8th October or 9th October. • If your application is successful, your contract will commence 13th or 27th October 2025
About this work area
As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience. • Food preparation, cooking, serving and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods. • Processing dishes and maintaining the washing up area and machines whilst supporting and maintaining the cleanliness of the customer restaurant. • Active selling, cash handling, operation of ovens & fryers.
As an IKEA Food Co-worker you are: • Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. • Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded. • Dedicated to delivering a welcoming and positive customer experience by engaging with guests in a friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable manner, ensuring their needs are met. • Committed to maintaining high standards by consistently following IKEA Food and uniform policies, including strict adherence to HACCP routines, hygiene practices, and food safety checks. • Enthusiastic about working within a team of like-minded people. • Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation.
