    What you need to know
    • This role is Permanent Full-time 76hrs/fortnight
    • Applications close Thursday 28th August
    • This role requires availability to work a range of hours from 7:00am – 10:00pm weekdays and alternating weekends per fortnight.

    As a Product Recovery and Quality Team Leader your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
    • Present IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the store.
    • Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, such as repackaging them back into a saleable condition.
    • Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality.
    • Support the quality work in the store to constantly improve customers' quality perception of IKEA products.
    • Always consider the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products.
    • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that cultivates a strong understanding of product recovery, quality and compliance processes.
    • Maintaining a safe and secure environment within the IKEA store, always ensuring the well-being of both customers and co-workers.
    • Looking to develop and grow within the business.



    As a Product Recovery and Quality Team Leader you have:
    • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently.
    • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience with previous experience in leading a team.
    • A passion for building furniture, our products, and our sustainability initiatives.
    • Experience with regular use of computers and IT systems.
    • Strong customer focus, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do.
    • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and ability and be able to think outside of the box.
    • A safety mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive heavy lifting.
    • Motivated, results-driven mindset that does not shy away from challenges.
    • Comfortable with the physicality associated with this role, similar to a warehouse co-worker.
