  • Why we will love you
You are motivated to collaborate and work with others. As a central player in the store, you are always on the move, ready for the next action. You understand that greatness requires thinking differently, and you focus on balancing long-term planning with an active "in the moment" approach to making things happen both now and in the future. A job in an IKEA store is more than just selling furniture. We must continuously update, change, and improve the shopping experience to keep the store vibrant, inspiring, and interesting. This is where you come in, at the center, ensuring that retail equipment is ready for both inspiring displays and "ready to take" product volumes for our customers. With a foundation in retail equipment, you will be part of the team of carpenters, also supporting various carpentry tasks as needed.
What you'll be doing day to day
You will contribute to the customer experience by securing and maintaining the highest standards of IKEA display equipment, fixtures, and racking.

    This includes:
    • Collaborating closely with stakeholders in Sales and Com&In to support tasks such as retail equipment, product displays, carpentry, and handling goods during launches, collections, and rebuilds.
    • Ensuring a safe and efficient storage, fulfillment, and inventory process.
    • Supporting the sales departments with racking questions to ensure sales-driving actions can be carried out quickly and simply
    • Sharing knowledge, collaborating with, and supporting colleagues within IKEA to create a mutual understanding of responsibilities and ensure outcomes are met.
    • Staying up to date with new retail equipment recommendations, overseeing and ensuring the proper and safe use of IKEA retail equipment, including providing training to co-workers.
    • Working consciously with resources and materials, maximizing opportunities to recycle and reuse materials to reduce the environmental footprint and minimize costs. Providing input in training and new co-workers acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to work with basic racking while keeping quality in focus
.• Being aware of the importance of safety while working on the shop floor and taking prompt actions when safety is compromised.
    • Providing high-quality carpentry and paintwork throughout the store in a simple, safe manner
.• Reducing the environmental footprint and maximizing opportunities to recycle and reuse materials
    Together as a Team
You will be part of a team of 24 people with great energy and passion for making everyday life better for both our customers and co-workers in the store. This is a combined role of in-store Carpenter with responsibility for the store's retail equipment. Therefore, you will work closely with the other two carpenters, while your specialist tasks will differ slightly as a retail equipment specialist.

You will report directly to the Communication & Interior Design Manager in the store.
