  • What you need to know

    • This role is permanent, full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
    • Location is Sydney, NSW.
    • As our unit operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).
    • As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
    • If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a National Police Check.

    About this work area

    As Business Navigator your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Driving the financial business planning process, securing that financial dimension are aligned with the unit priorities whilst creating commitment amongst stakeholders when setting goals.
    • Having a full understanding of the RCMP profit and loss, whilst reducing costs and considering all impacts to the P&L. Follow up on results and act upon any deviation.
    • Providing relevant, user-friendly business information, securing competence in the organisation to allow analysis and understanding of business performance to make optimal business decisions.
    • Secure and develop cost conscious awareness and behaviour in the RCMP by providing a good cost transparency, defining cost drivers and initiate cost saving activities.
    • Work closely with the leadership team to achieve common goals, by providing reliable navigation information, highlight deviations between the goals and actual result.

    To be considered for this role experience in the following is essential:
    • A bachelor’s degree in in Business/Finance/Economics or another related field.
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as an IKEA Business Navigator or equivalent.

    • An experienced leader who has the ability to drive the business plan agenda and steer the business to deliver growth and profitability.
    • Driven and naturally curious to identify and analyse opportunities within the business to contribute to business growth in a cost-conscious way.
    • Able to build robust relationships with stakeholders and influence decisions to positively contribute to the business plan, commercial direction and customer experience in store.
    • An experienced leader who has the ability to drive the business plan agenda and secure deliverables.
