Additional information:
• This role is Temporary, Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
• The preferred location for the role is Service Office, Tempe however remote work from any IKEA AU location will be considered.

About this work area
As Food Operations Leader your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Drive food operational excellence through logistics, production, customer service, equipment, and sustainability, while ensuring compliance with standards and legal requirements.
• Monitor and optimise food operations, identifying gaps and proposing improvements to contribute to financial results and meeting business goals.
• Develop and implement operational frameworks, standards, tools, KPIs, and processes to ensure product availability, food quality, and minimise waste.
• Contribute to the development of market specific range operational needs and requirements in line with IKEA range strategy, requirements and processes.
• Lead training initiatives and knowledge sharing to enhance team performance, ensuring sustainable equipment and practices are in place.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and actively support sustainability efforts, local sourcing, and a sharing, values-driven work environment.
You are someone who is passionate about food and creating a high-quality, affordable and unique culinary experience for IKEA customers. You are familiar with operational management such as In-store logistics, inventory, production, serving and sustainability. You have a broad knowledge of group strategies, priorities and a business planning process. You have previously worked with change management methods and tools as well as stakeholder management. You demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills and together you have the ability to steer the business along with your senior leaders. You understand the current food trends that influence customers’ needs and demands in the market, whilst you are familiar with how the consumer acts, feels and behaves in a retail environment to apply the insights in the food experience design in all touch points.
Your previous experience with local food legislations, operational compliance standards, food safety standards and HACCP is highly regarded.
