Additional information:
• This role is Permanent, Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight based onsite at IKEA Tempe.
• The internal job title for this role is Sales Team Leader
• This role requires availability to work a spread of hours from 8:00am – 10:00pm weekdays and alternating weekends (both Saturday and Sunday)
About this work area
As the Self Serve Team Leader you will be responsible for, but not limited to
• Knowing your range and presenting the width and depth of the IKEA range in order to satisfy and inspire visitors.
• Ensuring your team are available, trained and inspired to provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, with ease of shopping top of mind.
• Coach, manage, mentor and onboard new and existing team members to ensure that they succeed. This includes identifying and developing internal talent for the future.
• Being available to resolve customer and operational issues as they arise.
• Coordinating your team to ensure your warehouse is “in shape as new” at all times.
• Supporting the planning and implementation of activities, self-serve and add-ons throughout the store.
• Consistently analysing sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to streamline processes and drive business results.
• Ensuring the Self Serve Warehouse is a safe and secure environment for visitors and co-workers.

As the Self Serve Team Leader you are:
• An adaptable and energetic leader, with strong verbal and written communication skills to help you build successful relationships at all levels of the business.
• Enthusiastic about stock management, you thrive in a fast paced, warehouse environment and lead with a safety-first mindset.
• Skilled in understanding customer behaviour and effectively applying this knowledge to influence sales and service strategies.
• Committed to developing co-workers by managing performance, providing coaching, and building a strong talent pipeline for future leadership roles.
• Continuously proactive in seeking ways to simplify processes and reduce unnecessary negative costs to the business.
• Driven to thrive in a multi-faceted, fast paced environment where you are relentless about delivering the best outcomes for co-worker, customer, and business.
