Our operations include forestry, sawmills, boards, component and furniture production. About 15,000 co-workers work at IKEA Industry. The IKEA culture and values shape everything we do. Not only do the IKEA values bring us together, they also help us to do business successfully.

    Job description

    Who are you?

You are a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader who gets energy from building something new from the ground up. You enjoy turning bold sustainability ambitions into tangible, working solutions. You are curious, structured, and not afraid of challenges. Most importantly – you share our passion for making more from less and contributing to a circular IKEA.

As Project Leader for the Recycled Wood Hub in Wielbark, you will take overall responsibility for establishing a new pilot production site for recycled wood – a key step towards IKEA’s ambition of using 80% recycled board raw materials by 2030.

    Your main tasks will include:

    • Organizing and leading the establishment of the Recycled Wood Hub in Wielbark.
    • Managing the full building project – from permits to commissioning.
    • Coordinating with local and state authorities to obtain environmental and construction approvals.
    • Ordering, transporting and installing production equipment.
    • Selecting and supervising building and installation companies according to IKEA Industry standards.
    • Establishing agreements with municipalities (Warsaw, Łódź, Gdańsk and others) to secure inflow of at least 40,000 tons of wood waste per year.
    • Setting up production and logistics flow for incoming and outgoing materials.
    • Cooperating with main receivers of recycled material – IKEA Industry board units in Orla and Kazlų Rūda.
    • Preparing the future organizational set-up and recruiting key roles for the hub.

    Qualification

    You have:

    • Experience in industrial project management and production start-up.
    • Strong skills in coordination, planning and stakeholder management.
    • Ability to navigate administrative and environmental procedures.
    • A creative and pragmatic mindset – able to find simple solutions to complex challenges.

    You are:

    • Entrepreneurial and persistent – you don’t give up when challenges arise.
    • Motivated by innovation and circular production.
    • A natural team builder who works collaboratively across functions.
