The IKEA vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people. We do this by offering a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible can afford them. We operate in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand – and have an ambitious expansion plan to bring a little bit of Sweden to new markets in the region. We are part of the Ikano Group of companies and the only IKEA franchisee owned by the Kamprad family that founded IKEA.

We also develop, own and operate Shopping Centres that are anchored by IKEA and create walkable communities by including residential, office and other types of real estate in our development plans.

We work towards making sustainability a natural part of our everyday work. We are active in our communities, driving and supporting social initiatives that benefit children, women and the environment.

Reporting to the Recovery Manager, you will support the Recovery Department in optimizing operations, enhancing customer service, and improving processes. Your role includes assessing product conditions, managing returns, performing recovery work and furniture assembly, and reducing costs associated with poor quality by proactively identifying, investigating, and reporting quality defects in-store. You will also be responsible for other general tasks related to recovery operations.

    Your assignment

    • Receive, confirm, and categorize returned products, ensuring the maintenance of the spare parts and hardware library in the recovery work area.
    • Perform data entry for returned items into internal inventory systems, ensuring accurate documentation.
    • Assist in ensuring products are properly priced and displayed in line with safety and sales mechanism guidelines.
    • Support the generation, understanding, and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements.
    • Contribute to ensuring that recovery operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with overall store goals, prioritizing customer satisfaction and product quality.
    • Ensure full compliance with company rules, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in all recovery activities.
    • Manage daily tasks efficiently and effectively to support operational excellence.

    Qualification
    • You are comfortable with tools handling and enjoy DIY assembling.
    • You are physically fit and able to carry and handle heavy loads (e.g. assembled furniture) and withstand prolonged hours of standing.
    • You enjoy hands-on work — using tools, assembling furniture, and fixing things energizes you.
    • You are tech-savvy: familiar with PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Google Forms.
    • You are detail-oriented, able to read and analyze data to support decision-making.
    • You’re flexible and open to working during retail peak periods — evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
