    At Group Digital, we drive the digital agenda to keep IKEA leading in an uncertain and fast-moving environment. We develop, provide, and operate innovative digital products and platforms that scale globally and support millions of customers every day.

    We are now creating digital experiences that help millions of people imagine, create, and furnish their homes with confidence. Within Ingka Digital, IKEA Kreativ is a key part of the Home Imagination Platform (HIP), combining 3D, AI, and scalable backend systems to reduce the “imagination gap” for customers and co-workers worldwide.

    We are now looking for a Front End Engineer to join our small, geographically diverse Front end team - 3 engineers, a web leader and a product manager. You will work very closely with a dedicated Backend Engineer and a fully staffed graphics team.

    Who you are

    The person in this role will:

    • Design, build, test, deploy, and monitor web features for a new way to shop for home.
    • Design a seamless customer journey integration for IKEA Kreativ on IKEA.com.
    • Work collaboratively to prototype, iterate and deliver delightful user experiences: partner with product design, participate in usability sessions, and use your knowledge of frontend engineering to deliver • best-in-class mixed reality shopping experiences.
    • Improve performance, usability, and reliability of the Kreativ web application to improve customer satisfaction and conversion by delivering a high quality product, quickly fixing customer-facing issues, and promoting test-driven and data-driven development.
    • Effectively partner & collaborate with our global tech staff including our California teams (9 hours behind Ingka HQ)

    Desired experience:

    • 4+ years’ experience building production software on substantial products/codebases.
    • Proficient in modern Javascript/Typescript for frontend development.
    • Expertise in delivering polished UI with modern frameworks like React/Vue/etc.
    • Great teammate – who can reliably collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to design, scope, and deliver novel experiences that customers love.
    • Experience writing automated tests (unit/end-to-end).
    • University foundations in Computer Science and software engineering preferred.
    • Demonstrated appreciation of visual style & aesthetics (possibly with portfolio)
    • BONUS: 3D graphics experience.
