This might be the right opportunity for you: Ingka Investments in Dublin is recruiting for an Accounting and Reporting Specialist as part of the Finance team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

To be successful in this role, you need:

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• A qualified accountant
• Past experience in accounting and reporting requirements
• Keen interest in macroeconomics and understanding drivers of financial markets
• Experience of managing and working as a team

Ideally, you have also gained some experience or knowledge in at least one of the following areas:

• Monthly reporting
• Tax compliance and reporting
• Liaising with external auditors
• Knowledge of Sustainability and ESG reporting

You demonstrate good judgment, high level of integrity, trustworthiness, and maturity. You can prioritise and take sound and common-sense decisions. You get energised by contributing to overall success and results through collaboration and get inspired by working together in a multicultural and multinational environment.
What you'll be doing day to day
Reporting to and working closely with the Finance Manager, your scope will cover monthly financial reporting and various operational aspects enabling Ingka Group’s long-term growth and financial strength. The purpose of the role is to secure accounting tasks are performed, contributing to a complete, accurate and timely set of accounting books, and ensure supporting the team and relevant stakeholders on fulfilling their tasks

More specifically this means you will:

• Ensure the team is accountable for reliable and timely financial reporting and tax matters and ensure compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards for the two FMI corporate entities, securing alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop knowledge of various systems, document procedures and extract relevant system guidance notes
• Ensure the team is accountable for interaction with auditors and tax advisors for FMI entities.
• Be responsible for the ESG reporting and contribute to developing the ESG approach within FMI and alignment with other Ingka Investment portfolios.
• Contribute to the Finance community in Ingka Investments.
• Perform operational tasks such as bank reconciliations, system reconciliations, intercompany reporting, forecasting, accruals and prepayments and Vat returns

The FMI Portfolio includes assets for 20bn EUR in two corporate entities. The size of the portfolio has a significant impact on Ingka Group and therefore, the requirements related to risk and compliance are very high. This new role will be a welcome addition to the team.
