We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team Manager to join our Information Security and Data Privacy team at Inter IKEA. This position is full time and is located in Delft, The Netherlands.
At IKEA, we aim to make healthy and sustainable choices affordable and accessible for all. To make that happen, we need people with imagination. People who know that everyone has a right to feel at home. People who share our vision of a better everyday life. Together we’ll innovate the future of life at home through data, technology, retail and home furnishing know-how.
About the role
As the Team Manager for Identity and Access Management (IAM), you will play a pivotal role in securing and shaping the IAM agenda across the IKEA value chain. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the security and privacy of digital identities while enabling seamless user experiences for IKEA customers, suppliers, and co-workers.
You will lead a diverse IAM team that includes:
Product Leads for Access Management & Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM)
A Platform Lead responsible for the IAM technology stack
Product Specialists focused on Entra ID, SailPoint, CyberArk, and CIAM solutions
Internal staff, consultants, and external vendors (including support desk functions)
Key Responsibilities include:
Secure Digital Identities: Embed robust IAM solutions that align with IKEA’s information security and data privacy frameworks.
Drive the IAM Agenda: Develop and execute strategies that deliver secure and efficient IAM solutions across the IKEA value chain.
Leadership & People Management: Inspire and guide a team of internal and external resources to achieve impactful results.
Organizational Management: Balance competing priorities and timelines while focusing on security, scalability, and usability.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build credibility across all levels—technical product teams, leadership, and the board.
Vendor Oversight: Ensure external providers deliver secure, high-quality, and reliable IAM services.
Alignment & Collaboration: Partner across IKEA to deliver IAM capabilities that meet business needs while safeguarding critical digital identities.
Delivering Results: Manage organizational and technical complexity to achieve measurable outcomes for our customers, suppliers, and franchisees.
Success in this role depends on your ability to secure digital identities and embed security and privacy into all IAM-related processes. You unite teams under a cohesive, clearly defined vision and confidently juggle multiple priorities and agendas. Building trust with a wide range of stakeholders—from technical product teams to board-level leadership—is essential. You lead both internal teams and external vendors, maintaining high standards for security and performance. Ultimately, you ensure that IKEA’s entire value chain benefits from robust, user-friendly IAM solutions that strengthen our brand and customer trust.
About You
The following skills and experiences will support you in the role;
You excel at leading, inspiring, and enabling a highly skilled Identity & Access Management (IAM) team, focusing on people leadership over hands-on technical involvement.
You have a high-level (architectural/block-level) understanding of IAM technology, helping you to succeed with your main priority of empowering your team and shielding them from organizational complexities, budgeting issues, and distractions.
You are a manager who deeply respects and understands technical priorities, listening actively and fostering a collaborative environment.
Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to build trust and navigate stakeholder relationships in an international setting, building strong relationships across different parts of IKEA’s global enterprise.
You have experience with—or are eager to learn—the unique aspects of IKEA’s structure, culture, and workflows, ideally having worked in multiple core businesses (e.g., IKEA Industry, IKEA Retail).
You have thrived in fast-paced organizations where infrastructure and recurring workflows are critical to success.
You embody and uphold IKEA’s values: collaboration, humility, and a growth mindset.
You continuously learn and help develop leadership qualities in others, reflecting the culture you represent.
You are skilled in roadmap management, prioritization, and ensuring that IAM initiatives align with broader business goals.
You inspire and mobilize people toward clear objectives, implementing organizational capabilities that embed security and privacy into day-to-day operations.
You are well-versed in agile project methodologies, product-oriented organizations, and modern digital operations approaches.
You possess a natural credibility, strong willpower, and a proven track record of reaching ambitious targets.
You deal confidently with ambiguity, helping to build new capabilities from the ground up.
The IKEA culture and values are very much a part of our business and day-to-day work life. For you to thrive and grow with IKEA it’s important for us that you share our values! You can read more regarding our values and life at IKEA at www.ikea.com
About us
We do things a little different. We think, differently. Act, differently. And work differently as well. We like to break things. Like rules. And then make things. Like music-playing lamps. Even plant balls that help us look after our planet. It’s all part of our vision – to create a better everyday life for the many.
We want to become an even more affordable, sustainable, and accessible home furnishing retailer in an omni-channel reality. We bring business and data & technology together to improve how we work and meet customers, enabling us to focus on creating value. So, we can continuously improve and scale IKEA, together with our partners and the many people.
IKEA Operations Management builds up, delivers, serves, and supports shared data and technology for the IKEA value chain. Our Inter IKEA colleagues handle the design, manufacture and sourcing of IKEA products, as well as the definition and licensing of IKEA retail concepts. Together, we create a digital foundation to enable our Inter IKEA core business partners and IKEA franchisees to work more efficiently and deliver a rewarding customer experience in an omni-channel world.
Another thing fuelling our success is our values-based culture. While we are unique individuals with endless differences, something we share is our commitment to lead by example, work together, find better ways, and get things done. We believe in life-long learning, where we all play a part in helping each other (and our business) grow.
At IKEA, we are looking for people who believe everyone deserves a seat at the table. You’re welcome no matter where you come from, what you believe, and what you look like. We don’t even care how you have furnished your home. We’re interested in you simply because you’re you. Even if your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. We believe that people’s different perspectives, backgrounds, and personalities make us better at understanding our customers dreams and needs. At IKEA, we’re all on the same project.
