Who you areThe Sustainability business partner support our business to integrate and implement the Ingka sustainability strategy – People & Planet positive.
To do this we see that you have/are:
• Good knowledge of how to balance and merge environmental, social and economic aspects to define sustainability and how IKEA uses that knowledge in striving to make business within the limits of the planet.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience within the field of Sustainability.
• Result oriented and change driven
• Analytical skills about how to evaluate data and draw conclusions
• Competence to present a complex topic in an understandable way to diverse audience (from management to the many co-workers; internally and externally)
• In depth knowledge of how to initiate, plan, execute, control and close a project delivering towards set budgets, goals and timelines
• Creative and entrepreneurial mindset, strategic way of approaching problems; to question the status quo and find innovative solutions
• Flexible and agile, capable of adapting to new ideas, approaches, and strategies while inspiring and motivating others to achieve organizational goals.
• Knowledge about sustainability legislations and standards (e.g. CSRD, SBTi, GHG)
• Expertise in Circular Economy and a clear understanding of how to transform a business into a circular organization.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and either German, French, or Italian.
Your responsibilities
In this position you will collaborate and align with our country functions, and internal as well as external stakeholders, to secure that sustainability is integrated.
Furthermore you will:
• Enable and follow-up sustainability performance and progress based on the country business plans, tools and methods
• Secure local Swiss adaptation of the global direction and ambitions, to drive sustainability initiatives, processes and projects
• Facilitate the integration and implementation of sustainability by supporting the country functions with the right information, best practice solution and ways of working
• Proactively identify challenges and opportunities and/our supporting units to overcome challenges and optimize opportunities
• integrated across all country functions and support them to deliver their sustainability contribution to the agreed frameworks and strategies
• drive sustainability initiatives, processes and projects that deliver to the total business agenda and a more sustainable IKEA.
