    • End-to-end thinking (to avoid sub-optimization)

    • Very good understanding of existing waysof working within area of expertise within full country scope (all companies in scope)
    • Target operating model, global blueprint and process understanding
    • Cross functional process knowledge Source to pay (direct) and TEC

    Your responsibilities

    [ Role description ]
    • The role of the country process SME (Subject Matter Expert) secures the country specifics in the S2P(Source to Pay) Direct process are analysed for potential fits or gaps to the new ways of working.
    • R2R(Record to Report) refers to managing and reviewing of all posting, making sure general ledger is accurate and complete and that all required reports can be produced from information available.
    • SME will bring country specific expertise on requirements for GL, posting rules, necessary reports and overall local accounting needs.
    • Understanding current ways of working and related pain points as input to change impact assessment and Fit-Gap
    • Support the change by being a change ambassador for the project and by providing change support to key users and receivers.
    • Post go-live participate or drive root cause analysis activities.
    • Expected travel: 20% depending on phase of the project

    [ Deliverables and assignments ]
    • FOR TLS (Tax/Legal/Statutory) : Secure country is informed and involved in future state system functionality and process discussion.
    Provide input on local TLS requirements as part of fit-gap assessment and local ways of working as part of Change Impact Assessment
    • Input to functional design and process design needed to close country specific requirements
    • Support the SAP roles mapping to the end users
    • Provide general feedback and input on required localisation of training material Participation and sanity check in the proposed user set up creation for the purpose of end-user training
    • Outline incremental UAT testing scenarios that fit for purpose, take lead in User Acceptance Testing and provide first level input on solution acceptance
    • Support data cleansing, validate data for migration and support business cutover
    • IF applicable (as we aim for harmonization)
    - local procedures documentation update (LOP style)
    - Support Training materials localization
    - Support Change Impact - Action Plan management

    About this work area

    【Contract】
    This is a temporary position with a fixed term from Aug 1, 2025, to Aug 31, 2026.

    【Working Hours】
    Flexible working hours under the flextime system (based on a labor-management agreement).

    【Where you work/Access】
    The Service Office (Head Office) of IKEA Japan is located on the 5th floor of IKEA Tokyo-Bay. We work in a hybrid style, coming to the office 2–3 times a week, with the flexibility to work from home on other days. The office is a bright, open collaboration space, fully furnished with IKEA home furnishings!

    【Employment Status】
    - Full-time regular employee- 40 hours per week contract
    - Probation period: 6 months
    - Start date is the first day of every month (consult with us about your start date)
    - Retirement age: 65 years old
