Additional Information: • These exciting opportunities are: o Temporary (until February 2026), Full-time 76hrs/fortnight o Temporary (until November 2026), Full-time 76hrs/fortnight • This role is located on-site at IKEA Marsden Park, NSW 2765. • You must have the availability to work 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday (and occasional weekend or public holiday shifts according to business needs). • As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates. • If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a National Police Check.

About this work area
As an Interior Design Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Using your passion for home furnishing to contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market. • Communicating and implementing your home furnishing knowledge to create and inspire home furnishing solutions for customers (involving customer visits) through creating in-room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity. • Stimulating and increasing the interest in home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently. • Setting up new room settings including painting, implementing range lighting and propping. • Using the IKEA product range to show the distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs within the local market. • Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support, and co-worker areas.
As an Interior Design Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • A true passion for home furnishing and people’s lives at home with a strong ability to inspire and transform living spaces. • An understanding of how to handle tasks with a practical, hands-on mindset often utilising tools like ladders and power tools. • A strong communicator, capable of guiding peers and influencing stakeholders to achieve design goals. • A proactive approach in completing assigned tasks and self-development on top of daily operational tasks (e.g. maintaining assigned medias, planning, etc.). • An ability to flourish in a dynamic and creatively charged environment, working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment. • A working knowledge in design software such as Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. • Tertiary degree or equivalent qualification in design (Architecture, interior or industrial design preferred). • Have a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar Interior Designer role (residential or in home furnishing retail is preferred).
