Additional information: • These roles are Permanent Part-time, 30-40hrs/fortnight • The Hiring Manager for this role is Stephen Larkin - IKEA Food Team Leader • Applications close 30th October 2025 • As our store operates 7 days per week, you’ll need the flexibility to work a rotating roster that includes day and evening shifts, and alternating weekends.
As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Commercial: • Ensuring your area is clean, organised, and visually inviting in line with IKEA Food standards to provide a great customer experience. • Preparing, serving, and presenting food with a strong focus on food safety, waste minimisation, and meeting production and quality standards. • Actively engaging with customers, offering friendly service, and supporting sales through product knowledge and recommendation. • Performing accurate cash handling and maintaining efficiency during busy service periods.
Operations: • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in food preparation and service areas, following IKEA Food safety and hygiene routines. • Preparing and cooking meals using the correct methods and portion standards to ensure consistency and quality. • Operating kitchen and café equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, and dishwashers. • Supporting the restaurant team by clearing tables, wiping surfaces, restocking, and ensuring the dining area remains clean and welcoming.
As an IKEA Food Co-worker you are: • Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation. • Experienced with working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded. • A true team player who enjoys working alongside others in a collaborative, customer-focused environment. • Committed to following IKEA Food and HACCP standards, including food safety, hygiene, temperature, and date control routines.
