Additional Information: • This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight • Applications close Tuesday 12 May 2026 • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts: o Sunday to Wednesday – 8:30am to 8:30pm o Thursday to Saturday – 8:30am to 10:30pm • You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
As Customer Team Leader your responsibilities will include: • Leading the daily operations and responding to customer and co-worker needs to secure an efficient & seamless customer journey. • Supporting daily workflow, customer escalations, and being the expert with technical and system support for efficient operations and accurate stock level information. • Supporting your manager with the recruitment, retention, performance, succession planning and competence development of the team. • Leading by example with exceptional customer service, and a high level of integrity, compassion, and efficiency as an ambassador of the IKEA values. • Supervising and actively supporting your team to ensure processes are accurate, compliant and operating within all regulatory guidelines. • Empowering your team through building knowledge, confidence, trust, and motivation so they are always able to support visitors in the best way possible.
As a Customer Team Leader you are and have: • Demonstrated experience leading a team (minimum 1 year) and providing exceptional customer service. • Strong technical and systems knowledge with the capability learn internal systems and ensure accurate workflow within your team. • Highly developed communication, collaboration, and organisational skills. • Passionate about understanding the customer journey, and how you & your team support in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. • A leader who demonstrates the IKEA values and always leads by example. • An energetic leadership style: you thrive on the buzz you get from fast paced retail environment. • Proactive in seeking ways to simplify processes and reduce unnecessary negative costs to the business.
