As Shopkeeper your responsibilities will include: • Leading the Living Room and Home Storage areas, supporting your team to focus on achieving sales goals and educating customers on life at home with IKEA. • Working side by side with your team on the shop floor, mentoring, coaching, and building competence with a commitment to building succession and supporting their development. • Having a deep understanding of the range and staying on top of what’s trending locally, so you can identify new opportunities within the local market. • Keeping your departments looking great and easy to shop, making sure customers have a smooth and enjoyable experience. • Inspiring your team to see how their work connects to the bigger picture, encouraging a culture where everyone’s motivated to do their best. • Responding to customer feedback and identifying commercial opportunities to increase sales. • Managing accurate range forecasting, sales steering, and quickly adjusting when needed to meet volume commitments.
As Shopkeeper you are or have: • Spent at least two years leading a team in a busy retail environment and know how to achieve sales and profit goals. • A genuine love for home furnishings and understand what local customers want, helping you sell smarter. • Knowledge of how to build a strong team, support their growth, and plan for the future—while living the IKEA values. • Confidence with tech and enjoy helping co-workers and customers embrace digital tools in an omnichannel environment. • Great at working with different teams and can get your message across clearly to anyone in the business. • Planned and delivered sales strategies that work across an omnichannel environment. • Comfortable with change and know how to guide your team through it smoothly. • Speak in a way that’s clear, motivating, and respectful—and people listen because you know your stuff
