IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome two Warehouse Operatives to join our motivated and passionate team. This role is a customer-facing role, where you will be working in our Self-Serve and Full-Serve Warehouses - a varied job role that involves warehouse operational tasks and great customer service.
We have one 12-hour weekend-only and one 24-hour a week contract available.
WHAT WE OFFER
• £12.60 an hour (Living Wage Foundation Employer). • For the 24 hour contract, shifts will be 6 hours long, and include every 4th weekend off (3 in 4). There is an expectation you are able to work at least two late shifts (until 20:30pm) a week. • For the 12 hour contract, this will be a weekend-only contract with availability to work one or two shifts during the week at times. • We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview. • Induction date will be Saturday and Sunday, 27 and 28 September 2025.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
You will ideally bring with you previous customer service experience, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves as this is a fast-paced role where you will be working with customers and also moving stock, ensuring a clean and safe environment in the process.
If you have been to an IKEA store before, you may know that our Self-Serve Warehouse is where our customers pick their orders. You will work in this area in a customer-facing role at times, and also in our Full-Serve Warehouse behind the scenes, which will involve manual handling to transport stock within the warehouse.
No warehouse experience is required, however, we expect you will have a curious and motivated approach to work, a willingness to learn and get stuck in with your fellow colleagues to co-create the wonderful everyday.
Evening availability is essential for this role.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• You have a customer first mindset, serving customers in our warehouse, maximising sales, securing stock availability, administrative tasks and ensuring the area is clean, well presented, easy to shop, and ready for the following days delivery. • Manual handling and heavy lifting of various stock. Using pump trucks and trolleys to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse. • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
