  • Who you are

At IKEA, our vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people. The IKEA app is a big part of that: millions of customers use it to plan, shop and get inspired, at home or in store. We're looking for an IKEA co-worker who enjoys building thoughtful iOS experiences and sharing their expertise. You're curious, take ownership, adapt when plans change, and share our values of togetherness and simplicity.

We use AI to build better and faster. You'll use company-approved coding agents and AI development tools to learn, code, test and troubleshoot, checking their output critically, protecting confidential information and owning the result.

    - At least 7 years in professional software engineering, including at least 5 years of hands-on iOS development.
    - Production experience with Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit, and modular iOS architecture.
    - Automated unit testing and Git/GitHub collaboration.
    - A formal qualification in computer science, software engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.

    Your responsibilities

You'll build and review Swift code, evolve our modular app and write tests. You'll improve accessibility and performance, troubleshoot crashes and support releases. You'll contribute to architecture decisions, develop reusable components, follow Ingka Software Security Directives and help onboard and mentor engineers.

We also use Xcode and Swift Package Manager.

    Together as a team

We work in agile teams with product, design, QA, backend and data colleagues. We share customer insights, give thoughtful feedback and learn from each other.

    Questions and support? Let's connect!

This role is based on-site at our Amsterdam office, with the flexibility to work from home when relevant. We believe we're at our best when we come together, collaborate and build strong relationships.

As we work from the office three days a week, you will need to be based within a commutable distance of Amsterdam to support regular office attendance and in-person collaboration.
