About the area
Inter IKEA Group is organised in three core businesses - Range, Supply and Retail Concept - and five enabling functions. Together we contribute to the success of IKEA and share responsibility for the franchise offer.
The enabling functions lead key common activities in networks across Inter IKEA Group, as well as cover specific needs for the core businesses. The five Enabling functions are Operations Management, Business Performance & Support, Communication, Sustainability and People & Culture.
About you
To be successful in this role, we believe you have a genuine interest in monitoring capabilities, and the value observability brings to the business. You have a desire to ensure a great user experience and help them achieve state-of-the-art digital resilience. The area of responsibility lies within the stream called “Log & Analytics” and is positioned in our centralised monitoring team.
We are seeking a Platform Leader who is passionate about metrics, traces, and logs, and curious about the knowledge and insights they can provide. Together with our partner you will be governing our operational responsibilities for the platform and making sure our day-to-day operations are delivered according to expectations.
We expect you to have good knowledge of modern technologies and you’re on top of global trends and developments and understand how they can impact IKEA. You will bring solid knowledge of digital Monitoring and Observability capabilities. Ideally, you possess a strong background in a centre of excellence, supporting various aspects of the business.
You are a big fan of home furnishing and enjoy building a purposeful business by creating engaging and trustful relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and business partners.

About the job
You will be part of the Monitoring & Observability team in IT Operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Taking responsibility and ownership of our day-to-day operations of our deliverables and making sure we are delivering according to agreed SLA/OLA’s
- Collaborate with SME’s, developers, and DevOps engineers to support them in implementing digital resilience, based on defined requirements that meet business needs.
- Drive automation and improve processes and workflows
- Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize our tools and features.
- Support incident response efforts by improving visibility into system health and root cause analysis.
- Stay up to date with the latest Observability development and best practices and implement them as needed.
- Create and maintain documentation detailing architecture components, configurations, troubleshooting guides, and checklists.
The platform is based on Splunk Cloud, but we would like to see that you are familiar with different technologies and tools like for example; Cribl, Ansible, GIT, Linux, CI/CD, Azure Cloud and K8s.
In this role you will report to our Monitoring Services manager in IT Operations function and work closely with peers at Inter IKEA Group to lead towards uniformity and commonality, contributing to the Inter IKEA monitoring and observability maturity journey.
