    Job description

    We are looking for a strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer in establishing a competent finance organisation in IKEA Mexico supporting the growth of the IKEA business

    Your assignment

    • Provide financial leadership to align departmental performance with organisational goals.
    • Deliver timely, accurate, and relevant financial insights to the Management Team and Board.
    • Lead monthly business performance reviews and present financial statements to regional stakeholders.
    • Ensure robust financial systems, controls, and compliance with accounting policies and tax regulations.
    • Oversee statutory audits, annual financial statements, and maintain strong auditor relationships.
    • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
    • Provide operational oversight and coaching to cross-functional teams in Purchasing, Legal, and IT.
    • Partner with HR to recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams.
    • Collaborate with the Expansion team to ensure accurate financial tracking of growth initiatives.
    • Provide oversight to the Operations department, including Purchasing, Legal, and IT.
    • Work closely with the Shipping and Customs team to support operational processes.
    • Act as a day-to-day support and sounding board for PR&C.
    • Partner with HR to recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams.

    Qualification

    Your profile

    • You have an accounting degree with at least 7 to 9 years of relevant Accounting & Finance Managing Experience, ideally from a retail industry.
    • Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes.
    • Strong identification with the IKEA Culture and Values.
    • Excellence leadership skills,  experience lead a team and in a multinational environment.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience in Navision System will be an advantage.
    • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, sometimes in uncertain situations
