    Now, with the great response from customers in Hiroshima, it has been decided to open IKEA Hiroshima as a temporary small format in AEON Mall Hiroshima Fuchu!
    IKEA Hiroshima is scheduled to open in the autumn of 2025 and will operate as part of the organization belonging to IKEA Fukuoka Shingu.

    【Required Qualifications】
    • Relevant experience and proven performance in retail role
    • 1-2 years of experience in leading people with proven record of successful leadership delivering both business result and people development.
    • Proven experience in working through others, set priorities, delegate responsibility, and give open and honest feedback
    • Business-minded approach and problem-solving experience with a clear customer focus and ability to meet agreed budgets and goals
    • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in Japanese and English
    • ​​Must be a resident of Japan

    【Purpose of the job】
    Motivate and inspire your team through your leadership for sales and profitability of the shop, taking actions and secure the IKEA shopping experience in your shop to satisfied customers and increase sales working with shop controller and team.

    【Your responsibilities】
    • Corporate with the shop controller and being her/his active partner to secure overall smooth operation and to create the brand awareness and visitation to online and to our Kansai stores.
    • Ensure a comfortable shopping environment from the start of our customers’ shopping experience to payment, while controlling efficient operations
    • Ensuring co-workers are available and ready to help by putting customers before work tasks.
    • Empowering co-workers through knowledge, confidence, trust, authority and motivation so they are always ready to support customers in the best way possible.
    • Always being available to deal positively and quickly with issues raised by customers thereby supporting my co-workers when they cannot resolve a need.
    • Influence and lead the co-workers within the shop to secure the highest goods availability and enable customer order fulfilment at all times at the lowest possible cost.
    • Secure effective, qualitative and efficient goods flow operation within the assigned goods flow process in order to guarantee customer shopping experience through quality of products, merchandising and stock accuracy.
    • Ensuring my IKEA store is a safe and secure environment at all times for visitors and coworkers.
    • You actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with your team to understand how, together, you can contribute to sustainability.
    • Together with your shop controller, you take responsibility for your department goals and ensure your action plan is in place and communicated clearly to the team. You follow up and take action accordingly by using proven solutions and good examples

    【Expected start date】
    September 1, 2025

    【Employment Status】
    - Full-time regular employee- 40 hours per week contract
    - Probation period: 6 months
    - Start date is the first day of every month (consult with us about your start date)
    - Retirement age: 65 years old
