    Now, with the great response from customers in Hiroshima, it has been decided to open IKEA Hiroshima as a temporary small format in AEON Mall Hiroshima Fuchu!
    IKEA Hiroshima is scheduled to open in the autumn of 2025 and will operate as part of the organization belonging to IKEA Fukuoka Shingu.

    【Required Qualifications】
    • Relevant experience and proven performance in retail role
    • 3 years+ of experience in leading people with proven record of successful leadership delivering both business result and people development.
    • Proven experience in working through others, set priorities, delegate responsibility, and give open and honest feedback
    • Business-minded approach and problem-solving experience with a clear customer focus and ability to meet agreed budgets and goals
    • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in Japanese and English
    • ​​Must be a resident of Japan

    【Purpose of the job】
    Optimize the IKEA shopping experience in your store to secure satisfied customers and increase sales. You do this by motivating and inspiring your team using knowledge of the IKEA product range and services, the local market and IKEA customers. Your leadership is based on performing and delivering while learning and developing.
    The shop controller optimizes sales and profitability of the shop through following up, conducting analyses and taking actions. You use IKEA tools and the expertise of your team and colleagues to support you.

    【Your responsibilities】
    • Responsible for positioning IKEA Retail and the IKEA Brand to drive visitation for CMP and online channels.
    • Ensure the shop is in excellent shape as new and fully and efficiently stocked with the four merchandising basics in place at all times and that the IKEA product range is presented in ways that inspire and satisfy customers.
    • Create a customer-focused culture throughout the complete store and ensure an positive shopping experience.
    • Ensure you have the right number of competent co-workers in the right place at the right time and securing that they are fully able and available to serve customers and actively help them to buy.
    • Build a high-performing team by recruiting, , providing feedback, and coaching coworkers
    • Ensure your team has all the correct knowledge about the product range and the IKEA services to sell so that they can share this with IKEA customers to improve their overall shopping experience.
    • Ensure operational excellence in daily operations in order to enhance the easy buying experience.
    • Act quickly on commercial opportunities; marketing at SC, range presentation, product range controls (in& out product choice, offers, overstock and out of stock etc) and reflecting customer feedback.
    • Secure effective, qualitative and efficient goods flow within the store's receiving-, replenishment- and customer order fulfilment processes.
    • Communicate in right timing with relevant stakeholders
    • Actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with your team to understand how, together, you can contribute to sustainability.
    • Accountable for monitoring and following up the shop performance in accordance with the Store-and Market BPL to take relevant actions to achieve the goals for growth, budget, and excellence in operations.
    • Provide a safe, secure, and compliant environment for our customers, suppliers, and co-workers. Secure implementation of relevant rules and guidelines in the areas of Risk and compliance, cash administration routines, accounting rules etc

    【Employment Status】
    - Full-time regular employee- 40 hours per week contract
    - Probation period: 6 months
    - Start date is the first day of every month (consult with us about your start date)
    - Retirement age: 65 years old
