    Additional Information:
    • This role is Temporary (until November 2025) Part-time 24hrs/fortnight.
    • Applications close Friday 18 July 2025.
    • The regular shift time will be between 3pm and 9pm weekdays. You will also have availability to be rostered on weekends as required. Earlier start times will be required initially for training.

    About this work area

    As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include:
    • Preparing and cooking food with a focus on food safety, minimising waste, and maintaining a clean and organised work area.
    • Adhering to production plan levels and prescribed cooking methods.
    • Acting to ensure the highest food quality and hygiene standards, and consistency in food preparation.
    • Efficiently manage cooking times and multi-tasking during peak service hours to ensure timely delivery of meals.
    • Operating kitchen equipment, including ovens and induction cooktops, with precision and care.
    • Providing friendly and efficient customer service to our valued team in the co-worker restaurant (staff cafeteria).
    • Maintaining the dishwashing area and equipment.



    As an IKEA Food Co-worker you are or have:
    • A passion for food and great customer service.
    • Prior experience in hospitality or commercial cookery is highly regarded.
    • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality dishes with attention to presentation and quality.
    • Proven experience working in a dynamic, hands-on, fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to work under pressure, especially during rush periods.
    • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • The ability to strictly adhere to IKEA Food and HACCP policies, including daily quality checks, temperature controls, and operational routines.
