Additional Information: • These roles are permanent Part-time, 60hrs/fortnight • Applications close Monday 10 July 2025 • This role requires you to be available to work a range of hours from 8:00am – 10:00pm, weekdays and weekends. • You also have the availability to work 3 out of every 4 weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
As Sales Co-worker in the Self-Serve Warehouse, your responsibilities will include: • Engaging and assisting customers in understanding their needs and actively selling the IKEA range. • Preparing furniture warehouse sales spaces for replenishment by condensing stock using lifting techniques, pallet jacks and other appropriate manual handling equipment on a regular basis. • Being an IKEA product and service expert - learning about their features and benefits and IT systems to be able to provide accurate information and book orders and services. • Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced. • Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality. • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
As Sales Co-worker in the Self-Serve Warehouse you are and/or have: • Passionate about home furnishings and sharing the IKEA product and service range features and benefits with customers. • You prioritise safe work practices and you are comfortable with a physical workload and very regular manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting. • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment. • Strong communication skills and ability to connect with others, you can understand the customer's needs and build strong relationships. • An authentic approach in actively selling and self-motivated to meeting sales and warehouse efficiency targets. • A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, always with the customer in mind. • Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range, tools, and systems.
