    What you need to know
    • Position type: Permanent, full-time (76 hours per fortnight)
    • Work model: Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days from home, once established in the role
    • Work location: Customer Service Centre (RCMP), Tempe NSW
    • Working hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday, with occasional after-hours international global team meetings.
    • If successful this role will commence from Monday, 10 November 2025

    About this work area

    As an Experience Design Specialist your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Leading digital-first projects with a focus on efficiency, innovation, and timely delivery.
    • Localising global initiatives to ensure relevance and impact across both AU and NZ markets.
    • Coordinating and communicating implementations across RCMP to align expectations and drive engagement.
    • Managing scope, timelines, risks, and resources across multiple initiatives.
    • Building and guiding high-performing project teams with the right capabilities.
    • Maintaining and evolving digital tools to support operational excellence.
    • Designing and delivering training programs to support new ways of working.
    • Collaborating across country and global teams to identify improvement opportunities.



    As an Experience Design Specialist, you bring a strong foundation in contact centre operations, and a passion for creating exceptional customer experiences. You’re confident navigating complex environments and thrive when collaborating across diverse teams. In addition, you are or have:
    • Prior experience in project management, service design and continuous improvement.
    • Driven to exceed customer expectations and motivated by how to grow satisfaction with outstanding service and support.
    • Motivated to create a fantastic and inspiring experiences for customers that meet IKEA in all remote channels.
    • Equipped with a strong understanding of customer needs and digital tools, with the ability to translate requirements into practical solutions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with impact and translate strategic goals into actionable plans.
    • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, across all levels of the business.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and time-sensitive demands.
    • Experience in continuous improvement and the six-sigma framework is highly regarded.
