During the last years we have significantly strengthened Ingka’s development capability through the establishment of the 10 Jobs direction, roadmaps and ways of working for both our businesses and functions, and in parallel we are accelerating our business plans in Ingka Centres and Ingka Investments. We have established retail and digital areas with the objective accelerate and take leadership in the development of our Home Furnishing retail business, the core of Ingka.

We are now taking another step by establishing Xplore, that shall behalf of, and together with the businesses, functions and other stakeholders, challenge and deliver creative strategic explorations, innovations and partnerships to build new business concepts, solutions and insights with simplicity, speed and more from less - securing that IKEA and Ingka will be a leader in life at home and are living up to the IKEA vision 2030 and beyond.

With that said, are you a person with:

- Comprehensive understanding of IKEA vision, business idea, strategic landscape, business model & IKEA value chain
- Extensive knowledge of strategic design, design thinking, innovation development and Lean Startup methodologies
- High ability in conceptual thinking and business logic, and ability to visualize and communicate this with simplicity
- Proven experience in leading early-stage exploration, innovation and venturing initiatives end-to-end from opportunity to deployment
- Energized and passionate about exploring and developing new ways for IKEA to reach more of the many people, deliver new business and capability concepts, and retail solutions
- Creative problem-solving to ambiguous challenges with lots of unknowns.
- Expertise in fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
- Skilled networker, able to build strong and trustful relationships on different levels inside and outside IKEA.
- Genuine interest for leading and developing multidisciplinary teams of leaders through interdependent leadership.

Your responsibilities
​​Lead in the Xplore Portfolio team the work, process, and outcomes that will capture new concepts and explore, design and innovate solutions from the most compelling exploration cases and business opportunity maps. Delivering to our objectives and goals and accelerate development and deployment. ​

To give a couple of concrete examples you will:

- Responsible to lead in the Xplore Portfolio team the part of the exploration (cases) that captures future opportunities based on market, customer and Ingka research and insight together with Xplore Opportunity & Partnerships.
- Responsible to lead in the Xplore Portfolio team the explorations (cases) to ideate, define and evaluate new (business) concepts and capture new desirable and viable propositions that drive development and growth, facilitating domain experts and key stakeholders.
- Responsible to lead in the Xplore Portfolio team the design and development of prototypes and proof of concepts, to evaluate and iterate solutions and secure the right competences to accelerate the innovations in close collaborations with other Xplore capabilities.
- Scale up solutions to test, iterate and validate the solutions, based on scope and objectives and deliver to the complete business case.
- Contribute to the development of the Xplore Design & Innovation capability to secure right performance, ways of working, and methods. Engage externally to build a network of partners for collaboration to accelerate exploration, development, and testing and position Ingka Group as a world-leading innovative company.
Together as a team
This is a role is based in Malmö Sweden and part of Xplore in Group Strategy, Development & Innovation (SD&I). You will report to the Xplore Design & Innovation Manager and work closely with all managers, leaders and co-workers in Xplore and other key stakeholder throughout IKEA and Ingka.
