During the last years we have significantly strengthened Ingka’s development capability through the establishment of the 10 Jobs direction, roadmaps and ways of working for both our businesses and functions, and in parallel we are accelerating our business plans in Ingka Centres and Ingka Investments. We have established retail and digital areas with the objective accelerate and take leadership in the development of our Home Furnishing retail business, the core of Ingka.

We are now taking another step by establishing Xplore, that shall behalf of, and together with the businesses, functions and other stakeholders, challenge and deliver creative strategic explorations, innovations and partnerships to build new business concepts, solutions and insights with simplicity, speed and more from less - securing that IKEA and Ingka will be a leader in life at home and are living up to the IKEA vision 2030 and beyond.

With that said, we foresee you are a person with/that brings:

- Comprehensive understanding of IKEA vision, business idea, strategic landscape, business model & IKEA value chain?
- High ability in conceptual thinking and business logic, and ability to visualize and communicate this with simplicity?
- Proven expertise in design and implementation of directions, strategies and strategic plans in complex, global large-scale organizations, based on significant understanding of global retail industry trends, dynamics and competitive landscape, and how to effectively go from insight to strategy
- Knowledge on the Ingka Big Shifts, macro-trends, people’s evolving needs, wants and desires as well as technologies and new disruptive solutions and business models
- Leadership experience in navigating and influencing organizations with high level of complexity, incl. advanced and proven project orchestration and management skills, including management of external partners and cross-competence teams
- Strategic and executional ability, and drive to achieve strong short- and long-term results.
- Extensive knowledge and capabilities of creating a collaborative setup across internal teams and external partners.
- Effective networking skills, able to build strong and trustful relationships on different levels inside and outside IKEA.
- Ability to analytically process and synthesize new information and take a data-driven approach to a confident decision-making

Your responsibilities
​​In this role you will search, capture and synthesize new opportunities and partnerships, in the assigned Xplore Portfolio, based on foresight and insight and through exploration, turn opportunities into validated business potentials, that are amplified and accelerated by world-leading strategic partnerships.​

To give a couple of concrete examples you will:

- Be responsible for utilization of insights into the creation of opportunity spaces, that are funneled into a portfolio of concrete business opportunities.
- Explore opportunities based on defined exploration cases and according to the DNS process. Apply quantitative and qualitative methods to define concrete and validated business potentials. Share ideation briefings to inform further design and innovation.
- Establish, engage and manage partnership networks and scouting to support new explorations and development by finding development and potential scaling partners with “IP”, technology, solutions, customers or market access.
- Lead the work on identifying and securing industry leading partners for the capability to increase speed, quality and business outcome.
- Responsible for leading accelerator and incubator initiatives that integrates internal and external innovation capacities in a co-facilitated process to output new solutions to support and enable the Xplore agenda portfolios.
Together as a team
This role is based in Malmö Sweden, and part of Xplore in Group Strategy, Development & Innovation (SD&I). You will report to the Xplore Opportunity & Partnership Manager, and work closely with all managers and leaders in Xplore and other important stakeholder throughout IKEA and Ingka.
